Its an early bird tour, in this adventure we will pick you up at 5:30 in the morning. The road is long but worth getting and have all the archaeological site to ourselves, without people and with little sunshine.
We will visit one of the 7 new wonders of the world. Chichén Itza is one of the largest archaeological restored sites of the Yucatan Península. It was the political, religious and military center, with over 1,000 years of history. Where we can enjoy their great esplanades and visit several buildings that have survived, like the Observatory, the Temple of the Warriors, the castle of Kukulkan and the Thousand Columns. The visit to the park takes about 3 hours.
Once the temperature start climbing and we have enjoyed the ride through the magnificent ruins, then we will swim for about an hour. We will go to one of the most famous cenotes, Ik Kil a kind of natural pool formed by the ground and groundwater aquifers that Mayans believed was the entrance to the underworld.
We stop for lunch and continue our journey through one of the oldest cities in the Yucatan peninsula, we are talking about Valladolid city that it’s a Pueblo Magico . Important for the history of Mexico, named “Heroic City” with two major events: the Caste War and the first spark of the Mexican Revolution. Our guide will explain the history of the city with a walking tour in the streets, see the Cathedral of St. Servatius, the Old Town, a chocolate factory, the City Museum and the Franciscan Convent of San Bernardino de Siena.
After visiting the city, around 16:00 hrs. we go back and we will be arriving at approximately 17:30 Hrs. at your hotels.
